After the successful first cultural week of Colombia in India, the music and dance from this South-American country come back to Delhi.

On this occasion The Embassy of Colombia will present an evening that will bring the soul of the culture of the big eastern region of Colombia to India. This event will be the opportunity to launch the celebration of the 50 years of relations Colombia & India, 1959-2009.

Centro Cultural Llanero is a group from the Orinocos river basin, a vast territory framed by the Amazon jungle and the ending of the Andes mountains range, region shared with Venezuela. The Msica Llanera is the music of the plains, characterized for the use of instruments like the harp, maracas, cuatro and bandola (four strings instruments), evoking horses gallops and Flamencos heritage.

This group has participated in cultural and artistic presentations and competitions in different countries like Ecuador, Spain, France, Germany, United Kingdom, Mexico, Japan, Bulgaria, Peru, Argentina, Korea, Chile, Paraguay and United States. With more than 160 awards, Centro Cultural Llanero represents with excellence the Colombian folklore.
