College Substance Abuse Awareness Night September 22, 2010

College Substance Abuse Awareness Night - To assist college students who are starting the school year, Journey Healing Centers will hold a Substance Abuse Awareness Night. This event can be helpful for parents of college students and/or students. Topics will include Alcohol Poisoning, Binge Drinking, Date Rape Drugs, Depression versus Homesickness, Marijuana as Gateway Drug, and how can loved ones identify and help those dealing with substance abuse. According to the CDC, the proportion of current drinkers that binge is highest in the 18- to 20-year-old group (51%).
