Immaculee Ilibagiza survived genocide. In 1994, during the genocide in Rwanda, she and seven women hid themselves in a pastor's bathroom for 91 days. When she finally left the bathroom she discovered that her whole family had been slaughtered. She has received numerous humanitarian awards and even 2 honorary doctorates from St. John's University and The University of Notre Dame. Immaculee Ilibagiza is the author of Left to Tell: Discovering God Amidst the Rwandan Holocaust and is one of the world's most respected lecturers on peace and forgiveness.
