Sandra Lee Gallery is excited to present a night of dialogue with some of the Bay Area's most prominent figures from the art community. A group of panelists, including an art consultant, museum curator, gallery owner, artist and professor, and Alan Bamberger from artbusiness.com, will gather to discuss a variety of topics and answer your questions.

Topics will relate to art collecting and dealing and will cover broad areas for both artists and collectors alike.

In addition to a free-form open discussion between panel members and the audience, we will focus on the following topics:

As a beginning collector "How do you begin"?
What is 'good' art?
Should art be purchased for enjoyment or investment?
How does a collector evaluate the artwork and its price?
What does "market price" mean?
What roles do museums, galleries and art dealers play in the contemporary art scene?
How does a museum define and select good art?
Is the artist's ultimate goal to be included in market collections?
What effect does being in a museum collection have on the artist's prices?
What advice might you give a collector when they say "I have too much art"?
Are art fairs necessary for galleries?
What is the consultant's job?
How does an art consultant connect galleries, collectors and artists?
And more....

Please join us for a lively conversation about the essentials and principles of art collecting and dealing. There will be an hour of discussion followed by a social reception and refreshments.
