Interested in art and starting to acquire a few pieces of your own, but not sure where to begin? This three-part series intended for new aspiring collectors (or established ones looking for a refresher) will walk you through the decision process including selecting, displaying and maintaining artwork. The series is led by Michael Monroe who brings his 30 years of experience as BAM's Director of Curatorial Affairs and former chief curator at the Smithsonian's Renwick Gallery. Part I topics include: where and how to start, learning to look, and evaluate, discovering your own interests, and gaining confidence to make decisions.
