British cellist Colin Carr’s “velvety tone is a delight in itself, and his music making is no less satisfying,” says The Strad. Appearing throughout the world as a soloist, chamber musician, recording artist and teacher, Carr returns to Philadelphia with his frequent duo partner, pianist Thomas Sauer, opening PCMS’s Joseph and Marie Field International String Recital Series with a program of sonatas by Schubert, Britten and Rachmaninov and the Philadelphia premiere of Harold Meltzer’s Gaudi-inspired Casa Battló.
