In Slaughter Natives
The Scandinavian legend of experimental industrial is In Slaughter Natives. Going way back, this Finnish act has influenced a whole breed of metal and electronic musicians, with their cleverly arranged hybrid of neoclassic and industrial (amongst other elements).
Sometimes upfront and painfully direct, at other times silent and introvert, be alarmed - calmness can only be regarded as the silence before the storm ? the buildup before the blast.
Take heed, this is hard, creepy and sinister stuff, fitting for a visit in purgatory or a stroll through the graveyard. The convincing combination of majestic classical arrangements and the harshness of industrial aggression is credible where other copycats often fall flat.

Deutsch Nepal
Regarded as one of the pillars of Scandinavian (post-) industrialism, Deutsch Nepal has enriched the souls and minds with his experimentations for over a decade.
As one of the founders of Cold Meat Industry and thus releasing albums on this and other labels (Staalplaat, Old Europa Café), his albums are strange but lovable little gems to cherish.
By blending fragments of minimalism, monotony and isolationism with juxtaposed elements of noise, sample snippets, and almost tribal drumming, Lina B Doll?s style has certainly changed over the years, but has never failed to deliver a sonic exploration of wit and intelligence that are the trademarks of Deutsch Nepal. As a live act, Deutsch Nepal is fittingly unpredictable, certainly entertaining, and generally not to describe with words, but to witness in its own physicality.
In times where the term ?industrial? seems artistically limited, Deutsch Nepal surely ignores these limitations, and is a valuable treat for both the old-school rivethead as well as anyone generally into electronic esoterism.

Coph Nia
Another artist in the northern tradition is Coph Nia. With two albums and a few EP releases on Cold Meat Industry, Coph Nia is already a steady part of the CMI roster. Utilizing elements like dark rumblings and droning somewhat in the style of mid-era Lustmord, combined with more direct approaches of pounding drumming and spoken-word lyrical content, Coph Nia satisfies both needs for dark and theatrical entertainment. Surely a treat to anyone that enjoys the products of Cold Meat Industry and related labels. Highly recommended!
