Vancouver’s Cobblestone Jazz combine early computers and analog intruments with an improvisational, performance oriented approach to create paired down sounds that retain the explosive quality of jazz within the parameters of a minimal dancefloor aesthetic. Through a realtime exchange of musical form, language, and ideas, Tyger Dhula, Mathew Jonson, and Danuel Tate put on one of the most engaging and innovative live shows in electronic music.
