COBA leaps boldly into its 15th year with YEBO!—a program that pays homage to African traditions and blazes an exciting trail for the future of contemporary movement. This performance is a sneak preview of works set to be unveiled Feb. 29 to March 2 when COBA presents YEBO! as part of the Harbourfront Centre’s NextSteps series. Featured on the program are premieres of two brand new works: Cross Currents, a contemporary piece rooted in African tradition by BaKari E. Lindsay; and Doundoun Dance by Sis Robin Hibbert, a women’s traditional drumming dance from Guinea.
