505 North Michigan Avenue
Chicago, Illinois

In recognition of Chicago's Sister City relationship with Birmingham,
UK, the Birmingham City Council would like to invite you to attend a
morning seminar focusing on real-world examples of how the UK is
working to reduce carbon emissions. As the largest of England's core
cities, Birmingham UK is implementing strategies to reduce carbon
footprints, cut greenhouse gas and build sustainable design - come
learn how the solutions are being applied at all levels.

The UK is fast developing its reputation, not only for global
leadership on climate change, but also as one of the largest global
hubs for the development of low carbon technology. Overseas
organizations are also increasingly pursuing partnership and business
opportunities in the UK, attracted by the relatively low-risk
environment for investment encouraged by the Government.

Please join us for a panel discussion lead by Clive Dutton, the City
of Birmingham's Director of Regeneration, highlighting case studies
and thinking on how European cities and governments are tackling the
climate change challenge.
