Join us for a unique discussion on the human toll of climate change already being felt by the world’s most vulnerable communities.

Guest speakers Meena Raman of Friends of the Earth International/Malaysia and Joyce Patience Tembenu of Malawi will inform listeners of the effects of climate change on their own communities as well as efforts to develop local and global solutions. Their combined experience includes decades of groundbreaking social justice work, such as the founding of the first public interest law firm in Malaysia, and the development and implementation of community-based programs to address food security, HIV/AIDS, and women’s rights in Malawi.

You'll leave with a new perspective on climate change and an understanding of how you can help ensure that the poorest and most vulnerable communities will have access to the financial and technological resources needed to adapt to climate change.
Presented by Oxfam America and the Climate Equity Campaign. Co-sponsored by The Friends of the Minneapolis Public Library. For more information, call Adam at (612) 630-6159 or email [email protected]
