Climate Action Committee sponsored Soles 4 Souls Shoe Drive November 7, 2011

The Climate Action Committee of Point Pleasant Boro is supporting America Recycles Day by sponsoring a "Soles 4 Souls Shoe Drive" throughout the town and school district. We are reaching out to each resident, business, student and employee of the school district to support this event by bringining in their gently worn shoes from November 7th to the 18th. Bins will be placed in the front entrance of each school as well as the Town Library and Town Hall and will be collected on Friday, November 18th for delivery to the warehouse.

The recycling of footwear is important to children and adults around the world. It can help to eliminate the spreading of diseases through the foot as well as help children obtain an education - as many schools have footwear requirements in order to attend. Coming together as a municipality and school district to recycle our shoes changes lives!
