Join the Firehouse Theater Company for their adaptation of 'Cliffhanger,' a play by James Yaffe. After years of teaching philosophy at a small western college, Professor Henry Lowenthal and his wife Polly eagerly await the announcement of Henry's appointment to an endowed chair in his department. However, things take a drastic turn when Edith, Henry's vindictive protege, devastates him with her plans to ruin any chance of his promotion. After pleading and rationalizing, Henry responds to Edith in a 'bust' full of rage. This violent action sets off a chain of events that lead him and Polly down a path of moral dilemma and dark humor. Filled with blackmail, double cross, and murder...Cliffhanger will make you forget about right and wrong...and perhaps even choose the wrong that is more right.
