Creating User Experience Standards

How do big companies go about aligning site experiences for distinct but varied user groups? Progressive Insurance has recently undergone this task and will share the process, the challenges and the outcome of their alignment effort.

For the past ten years, Nicole Capuana has been designing and developing web sites and transactional applications that are used by multiple user groups. Getting her start in Seattle during the dot com bust, she has since relocated to the Cleveland area and has found great opportunities to further develop her craft. Most recently she has focusd on IA within the enterprise and has completed the first alignment of web standards for Progressive's servicing realm.
