Led by the irrepressible David Thomas, underground forefathers PERE UBU came roaring out of Cleveland in the mid-1970s and inflamed the imaginations of generations of rockers to come with their avant-garage sound. Thomas, undiminished as a force in musical and theatrical experimentalism since moving to England over a decade ago, brings the band to Park Slope for a rare evening combining music and a cult black & white film classic sure to delight and terrify those brave enough to attend. Preceded by Brooklyn's own CLEM SNIDE, who began life as a tough punk trio but have since mellowed into a thoughtful though still sharp edged alt-country/rock band.
