Classic Film Series: the Lodger November 4, 2009

The Chautauqua Community House and Auditorium hosts a Classic Film Series on Alfred Hitchcock screening a selection of his movies including The Lodger. The Lodger is a silent film that will have live music performed by Hank Troy. The film begins when a landlady suspects her new lodger is the madman killing women in London. The Lodger was the feature which Hitchcock himself described as his first true film (it was actually his third complete one), and film historians focus on it because it introduces themes of murder and suspense.
