Classes and Events: Photograms September 6, 2008

Learn how to create photographic prints without a camera or even a negative using only everyday objects and photo sensitive paper. This is a very old and fun technique that allows you to print silhouettes of objects to create a photo impression. It is a very good way to get initiated to the darkroom without having to buy expensive equipment. You will experiment with different objects and see how texture, position and exposure influence the printed image. This workshop includes an artistic and historic survey of photogram pictures from artists such as Man Ray, Picasso and Moholy Nagy.
