Clarita's Vogue Nutcracker November 12, 2008

To kick off the 2008 holiday season, choreographer Lorena Gomez-Maese presents a unique version of Tchaikovsky's classic fairy tale. This original ballet features 11 different styles of dance: Salsa, Tap, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Jazz, Ballet Folklorico, Spanish, Russian, Chinese, Hawaiian and traditional Belly Dance. This year's production will feature principal dancers from the L.A. Ballet Company in vintage and "vogue" costumes, and an ensemble of talented young professional dancers and local children.
