Celebrate Woman’s History Month with this one-act family friendly play dramatizes the pivotal moments in the life of American Red Cross founder, Clara Barton. Get a glimpse of the personal stories of her life; how she transformed herself from a shy girl of ten, teased by classmates, into a brave woman caring for fallen soldiers during the battles of the Civil War and her interactions with President Lincoln. The interactive performance includes amazing video images of Clara Barton, including a letter from President Lincoln. See the show at Adventure Theatre and get a free tour of Clara’s House in Glen Echo Park led by a U.S. Park Ranger. Or bring the show to your school, Library or community center. On March 28th, see the show and then take part in a Blood Drive hosted by the American Red Cross, then go to an Open House at the Clara Barton National Historic Site, with free cider and Junior Park Activity Books.
