The League of Women Voters of Columbia Boone County is one of a few groups nationwide to get a grant to conduct several hours' worth of structured discussion with as many people in Columbia and Boone County as possible about what people think regarding issues of civil liberties and homeland security. You don't have to be any kind of "expert" to join the discussion - they're looking for the views of regular people. There will be speakers concerned with all sides of the issue, and a lot of small-group focused discussion in between, so you'll learn a lot and meet some interesting folks from many walks of life.

Stay tuned for exact times & venue when I have them. I THINK it will be the Holiday Inn Executive Center near the Mall, but I'm not 100% yet.
