Civic Goes Around the World March 7, 2010

The Boston Civic Symphony, the city's second oldest symphony orchestra, presents a program of music from around the world. Music Director Max Hobart will lead the orchestra in Rossini's Overture to "Italiana in Algiers," Cantabile for Violin by Paganini, and the world premiere of a violin concerto written for soloist Irina Muresanu by Thomas Oboe Lee. The final piece on the program will be the monumental Symphony No. 5 of Tchaikovsky.
