CityMusic Cleveland's FREE Family Concert for Children of ALL Ages November 8, 2008

CityMusic invites children of all ages and their families to hear the beloved tale of Peter and the Wolf, a musical story of bravery, rebellion, and friendship by Sergei Prokofiev. It tells of a young boy who ventures out into the meadow, against his grandfather’s orders, to catch a wolf. The wolf is also being chased by the village’s best hunters. But, with the help of his animal friends, Peter catches the wolf, becoming the hero of his village. Narrating the story is Mwatabu Okantah, poet in residence at Kent State University. Also on the program is Benjamin Britten’s Simple Symphony.
