City Rocks • Rock History Revue - Music on the Square July 3, 2009

City Rocks is a music revue that highlights the legendary rock songs and groups of the San Francisco Bay Area, 1965-1985. The show covers all the milestones in San Francisco rock history, starting with the "Summer of Love" and continuing through the next two decades of music from the artists that called the San Francisco Bay Area home. City Rocks not only covers the signature songs of the Bay Area, but performs them in an entertaining context full of medleys and colorful costumes which add visual impact to the show's musical excellence. The City Rocks Dance Ensemble interacts with the crowd while performing theatrical dance routines to highlight the music. Along with Music on the Square, other exciting FREE evening events include: Movies on the Square on Thursdays, Dancing on the Square on Tuesdays, and Jazz on Main St. on Mondays. Other ongoing events in the coming months include six special outdoor exhibits featuring Art on the Square, Monday and Wednesday afternoon performances with Lunchtime on the Square, Sunday Swing Dancing with Lindy on the Square, as well as weekend Shakespeare performances, Sunday Target Family Days, and Cultural Events.
