Fireworks begin around 9:30 p.m.

Come check out the City of Aurora’s 9th Annual Independence Day celebration! It features the largest fireworks show in the Denver metro area and there will even be a performance by the U.S. Army Band from Ft. Carson.

The shenanigans takes place on the great lawn on the west side of the Aurora Municipal Center. If you don’t get there soon enough, they say you can view the fireworks from the east side of Potomac Street, south of 6th Avenue, north of Mississippi Avenue and west of Buckley Road.

They are estimating an average of 100,000 people who will view the Aurora fireworks on the lawn and surrounding areas this year.
