HONOLULU, HI – (Monday, March 28, 2011) – Jet Setter Productions, Honolulu’s freshest independent music production company, who recently brought The English Beat, now presents internationally recognized indie / dance/ rock band, City City live in Honolulu Friday, April 26th. City City makes their Hawaii debut performance from their spring tour across the U.S. kicking off March 26, 2011.

City City is a five-piece, indie rock band driven by synth sounds, guitar effects, and a touch of pop. Known for their “…exploding cascade of synths and skittering, ersatz drum beats,” City City’s “… looming synthetic textures and beats with cool, ethereal vocals” set them apart from the rest. Based in Los Angeles, it was founded in 2006 by Dan McCollister (singer), Jeff Kirchner (guitar, synth, engineer), and Kyle Minichelli (guitar, synth), and new additions, Jarett Portnoy (drums) and Valerie Ngai (bass) in 2010.

City City’s first music video, “The Network,” was a featured release on OurStage.com. According to Kate B. Of OurStage, City City is "...an exploding cascade of synths and skittering, ersatz drum beats [...] City City marries their looming synthetic textures and beats with cool, ethereal (and thankfully human) vocals. Theirs is a match made in heaven." Word spread all the way to Germany with a mention in Blonde, a German fashion magazine. It then went on to be chosen as one of Fuse on Demand’s July 2010 Sonicbids Contest winners and was a featured video on Skope Magazine.

Sounding better than ever and boasting a dedicated fan base, they are poised to bring their unique blend of radio-friendly danceable electro-pop to fans everywhere.
