The University of South Carolina Citizens’ School for Science and Technology, in partnership with the Museum of the Confederacy and VCU Science, Technology, and Society lecture series, is hosting a six-week public lecture series that explores the science and technology of the Civil War. It is for anyone who is curious about science, history, and social interaction. This lecture series will be led by experts from the Museum of the Confederacy, VCU Medical Center, Longwood University, Loyola University, and more and will be illustrated with objects from the museum’s collection. Thursdays in August (11, 18, 25) and Wednesdays in September (7, 14, 21) from 6:00 – 7:30 pm.
