On Sat., Dec. 13, from 2pm-5:30pm, African Voices will host the The CULTURAL CIRCLE CONFERENCE, a forum for writers and artists. The Circle will explore the influence that Hip Hop, Jazz and other musical influences have on art and literature and it will include a two-hour Spoken Word/poetry workshop hosted by Spoken Word artist D-Cross (Derick Cross). Writers Abiodun Oyewole (The Last Poets) and Yvonne Bynoe, the author of the "Encyclopedia of Rap and Hip Hop Culture" are featured guests. For information call: 212 865-2982.
