Woody Allen's latest is this warm-hearted homage to Truffaut's Jules et Jim. Friends Vicky (Rebecca Hall) and Cristina (Scarlett Johansson) arrive in Barcelona and both fall for the charms of artist Juan (Javier Bardem). When his tempestuous ex-wife (Penélope Cruz) appears on the scene, sexual intrigue unfolds. Set against a ravishing cityscape, Vicky Cristina Barcelona is witty, romantic and very sexy.
