Cineforum - Muslim Women: Visibility & Leadership March 30, 2009

At this years Cineforum were encouraging the advancement of Muslim women through harnessing the power of visual media, taking advantage of collaborative networks and providing new tools and skills for attaining leadership positions.
The Muslim Women in Leadership Cineforum is a unique media event, bringingtogether inciteful documentary film, provocative pundits and impassioned audiencesready to debate the social, political and economic advancement of Muslim women.
We will provide role models, leadership workshops and mentoring sessions with some of the most prominent Muslim women and men in their fields, from both the UK and abroad.
This is an opportunity for us to hear and watch each others stories, inspire debate and action and create a network that not only works to promote its members, but also becomes a loud and clear voice with which to catalyse change.
This years Cineforum is being held as part of the London International Documentary Festival. It will be at the Royal Society of Arts, which for 250 years has been encouraging the development of a principled, prosperous society and the release of human potential.
