Cider making in one day October 4, 2012

A one day course on cider making.

The morning will cover an introduction to cider making, then out into the orchards to pick and wash the fruit prior to pressing.

After lunch (please bring packed lunch) the group will be split into two groups, one to run the traditional cider press and the other to run the modern apple juice press. Everyone will get the chance to get hands on, using the two mills, two presses, pumps, bottle fillers and pasturisers. At the end of the afternoon there will be the chance to taste some cider.
