The third annual Murderfest—the second one here at the Knit—is the ultimate festival of heavy music and all things brutal. A two day affair, tickets are available for single days or both. Of special interest is Repulsion, who are arguably the first grindcore band, kicking off a movement of blastbeats and extreme intensity. Forming in Flint, Michigan circa1985, their Stench of Burning Death tape was traded so heavily and on an international level that its influence was enormous. The original band is playing a very rare show and is indeed worth experiencing first hand.
