If you were one of the lucky ones to catch them last year, then you know about the craziness. If you weren't there, expect to DANCE! Last year the girls couldn't contain themselves and were jumping on stage and dancing nearly naked as Chromeo seranaded them with their "sexjams". Expect nothing less this time, i t will be a double dose of dance floor fun when party starters Chromeo and Chicago's premier DJ crew Flosstradamus set off on another sexjam crusade with their slippery electro funk-flapping pop synthesizer playful sophisticatedmusic.
Their second album Fancy Footwork (set to be released July by VICE) finds our charismatic sartorial opposites Dave 1 and Pee Thug at the top of their game, both musically and stylistically. Tracks like "Tenderoni" and "Bonafied Lovin'" highlight the bravado of Dave 1's innuendo filled lyrics coupled with Pee Thug's rock solid synth and vocoder work, while "100%" and "Momma's Boy" reveal the tender side of Chromeo in the form of effortless slow jams. To top it off, legendary producer Philippe Zdar (Cassius, Motorbass) mixed the record, adding an elegant French touch to the atmosphere and perfectly complementing Chromeo's heightened attention to songwriting detail. Fancy Footwork is a trans-continental love affair that represents the duality of the group best: a catchy yet intense pop album delivered with disarming sincerity .
