Chromium is an open-source browser project that aims to build a safer, faster, and more stable way for all Internet users to experience the web. Extensions are a great way to add more features and functionality to the browser. Sometimes, a feature is really useful for some people, but not for everyone. Extensions let you customize Google Chrome with features you like, while keeping your browser free of clutter that you don't use.
Arne Roomann-Kurrik and Paul Kinlan from the Chrome Developer Relations team will walk you through the developer APIs for creating an extension.
HTML5 is a set of new technologies to build rich internet applications such as Canvas, SVG, WebSockets, localStorage, Web Workers, Application Cache, WebGL and many more.
We will speak about how you, as web designers and web developers, can take advantage of those new features right away.
Chromium OS is an open-source project that aims to build an operating system that provides a fast, simple, and more secure computing experience for people who spend most of their time on the web.
We have a speaker from the Chrome Developer Relations to talk about the design, goals, and vision of the next generation OS.
Speakers:
Arne Kurrik: Arne is a Developer Programs Engineer at Google, working with the Chrome team. Just like the rest of you, he puts his pants on one leg at a time; except that once his pants are on, he makes excellent samples, developer tools, and documentation.
