Early music specialist Christopher Hogwood conducts Juilliard415, the School’s period-instrument ensemble, on Saturday, March 19 at 8 PM in Alice Tully Hall. The program features Haydn’s Symphony No. 6 in D Major “Le Matin”, Hob. 1/6; Corelli’s (arr. Francesco Geminiani) Concerto No. 3 in B Minor, H. 128; Geminiani’s “Select Harmony” Concerto No. 2 in D Major; Haydn’s Symphony No. 7 in C Major “Le Midi”, Hob 1/7; Geminiani’s Unison Concerto No. 1 in D Major, H. 124; and Haydn’s Symphony No. 8 in G Major “Le Soir”, Hob 1/8. For the Geminiani pieces, the ensemble will be using an edition that was edited by
Mr. Hogwood and published by Ut Orpheus Edizioni.
