Christopher Caines Dance Company/ WORKLIGHT June 4, 2006

An ensemble of 11 dancers and 11 musicians join forces for WORKLIGHT, an evening-length suite of études choreographed by Artistic Director Christopher Caines. Each section of the work involves a different kind of experiment in spatial structure and musical form, challenging both dancers and viewers with dances that always have two fronts. A special feature of the evening will be the first complete performance of Ernst Toch?s suite Spoken Music since its 1930 Berlin premiere, which includes the famous ?Geographical Fugue?, plus music by Bach, Cassadó, Gould, Mozart and Tallis.
