Christmas Tree Lighting December 4, 2012

The Royal Norwegian Embassy will again donate a Christmas tree to Washington, D.C.'s Union Station this year. The tree is a gift to the people of Washington, D.C., and is a symbol of friendship between the United States and Norway. It also expresses Norway's gratitude for assistance received from the United States during and after World War II.
