Christmas Lights switch-on takes place, Thursday 25 th November at 6.15pm, outside the Meridian Shopping Centre, Havant - with a samba band, festive music, snow machines and fireworks!

The Spring Arts and Heritage Centre, which is supported by Havant Borough Council is staging Cinderella – ‘A Christmas Adventure’, on 10-12 and 15-19 December, call the box office for further details 023 9247 2700.

Havant town market on Tuesdays and Saturdays offers its own unique shopping experience throughout December.

The Meridian Centre will be offering late night shopping until - 7pm on 9, 16, 20 and 23 of December. Plus there will be seasonal entertainment on most Saturdays in the centre to create that Christmas atmosphere.

Jeff Crate, business development officer for Havant Borough Council said; “We are keeping our fingers firmly crossed for the weather on the 25 November as the snow machine and fireworks will add that extra Christmas magic.

“The Christmas lights are just a part of ‘Christmas in Havant 2010’. We are working closely with the retailers and businesses in the town to promote events in the count down to Christmas and hope that residents and visitors enjoy the Christmas atmosphere.”

Visit Havant’s Meridian Centre, retail parks, pedestrian shopping and traditional independent retailers and places to eat and drink, to make the festive season a little easier and less stressful this year.
