Christmas Bird Counts January 3, 2010

The Weslaco Christmas Bird Counts (CBC) began in 2002 and has already proved to be a great count, yielding the highest number of bird species of all the Rio Grande Valley Counts the last few years. The La Sal Vieja count is located out at the Valley Salt Lakes area and is a wonderful place to bird!! Meet at VNC early for assignments. Participants should bring lunch. A free hamburger count down dinner will be held at the Estero Llano Grande State Park after the count.
