On Saturday evening, May 1, critically acclaimed indie pop songwriters CHRIS VON SNEIDERN and MCCABE AND MRS. MILLER (featuring Victor Krummenacher of Camper Van Beethoven/Monks of Doom and Alison Faith Levy of The Loud Family/The Sippy Cups) will perform an acoustic concert in the Grange Sonoma a multi-winery tasting room located on the grounds of CornerStone Sonoma. (Please scroll down to see full bios for both acts).

This special event is a truly rare chance to hear a live performance by Chris Von Sneidern in such an intimate, "unplugged" setting. Since the release of his 1993 debut album, "Sight & Sound," Von Sneidern's brilliant take on Beatlesque songcraft has been made of the most respected indie songwriters in the country. Recently, he was the subject of the Academy Avenue film titled, "Why Isn't Chris Von Sneidern Famous?," a documentary produced and directed by Kathleen McNamara, featuring interviews with John Wesley Harding, Peter Straus, (formerly of The Dwarves), music critics and many others.

The May 1st concert will be the third show in a new series of acoustic music parties hosted by music journalist Drew Pearce, founder of Bay Area House Concerts, whose past shows have featured The Rowan Brothers, Glen Phillips of Toad the Wet Sprocket, Peter Case of The Plimsouls.

Doors open at 7:00 p.m. Music begins at 8:00 p.m. The staff at Grange will be pouring some delicious selections from their wine list. CornerStone Sonoma is located at 23570 Arnold Drive in Sonoma, CA 95476.

Seating is limited, but advance reservations can be made online at http://drewpearce.com/events.html  Tickets will be available for $10 at the door on May 1. For more information about this music party, guests can contact Drew Pearce at (415) 706-3800 or [email protected].
