From Soundgarden to Audioslave and all the solo work in between, rock singer Chris Cornell has made a most impressive impact on the world of rock ‘n roll. A lawless pioneer in the early ‘90s in Seattle, Cornell and Soundgarden worked closely with other era-defining bands like Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam and Nirvana to launch what the world would soon know as grunge rock. Later, the disbanded central members of Rage Against the Machine recruited Cornell as their new vocalist and formed the early ‘00s hit band Audioslave. Landing hit after hit and with songs in the 007 film Casino Royale and the Tom Cruise/Jaime Foxx film Collateral, Audioslave was well-received by critics and fans alike.

Now that Rage is back together, Cornell has taken his solo work to new levels, from supporting Aerosmith tours, to recording his latest album, Scream, with producer Timbaland and reaching his highest spot yet on the Billboard charts. Soon, you’ll hear music he’s created especially for actor James Franco’s directorial debut, Beyond Good and Evil. With Soundgarden reunions all around us, it’s an exciting time to see Chris Cornell at the Klein, during his acoustic solo “Songbook” tour, spotlighting all the best songs from his illustrious career.
