Chris Colepaugh is a multi-award winning, international touring musician recognized in the media as "having the kick of Government Mule and a fest o crunchy guitar licks"... Chris Colepaugh and the Cosmic Crew fuse the cry of a double-neck Gibson through an over-driven tube amp in a hard-driving southern-rock jam. They are blazing a trail with their new album "In Your Backyard." The album drips with thick electric guitars, Bonham-esque style drums, massive bass, and soulful songwriting and lyrics. From the heavy guitar-soaked-rocker-single "Caught Up To You" , to the acoustic guitar/mandolin picking of "Dont Want You Round No More", "In Your Backyard "is a fantastic guitar-intense, southern jam rock album. With this new album, their solid line-up and a killer live show, fans of CCCC will be able to enjoy the bands powerful tunes on CD as much as they do live. Chris recently signed an endorsement deal with Gibson Guitars, Sennheiser Microphones and Traynor Amplifiers, and signed a deal with his Management Company and Fontana North Distribution. In addition, after the album "In Your Backyard" was completed, Chris spent two weeks in Austin, Texas working under the mentorship of platinum selling artist/producer Gordie Johnson on his new Grady CD project at Willie Nelsons Studios. " Working with Gordie was an incredible experience. " says Colepaugh who works in the industry as a music producer himself. " It was inspiring to see Willies platinum records on the wall everyday and to think of the caliber of musicians that have recorded at Pedernales." CHRIS COLEPAUGH AND THE COSMIC CREW will be touring the Maritimes and cross Canada this fall in support of their new album, and the single " Caught Up To You" to be released to radio this fall. "In Your Backyard" is a colossal music statement and represents some of Colepaughs finest work. CHRIS COLEPAUGH AND THE COSMIC CREW have performed at festivals in Canada and the United States including SXSW , CMW, NXNE, NEMO, Evolve and have toured extensively with over fifteen national coast-to-coast tours including tours in the United States. Part of their US itineraries have included dates with the North Mississippi Allstars, a performance at the House Of Blues in Boston, MA , several tours of New England and southern US, the U.S. West and two tours of Southern California . COLEPAUGHs album " IN TIME " charted 1 on the East Coast Countdown for three weeks and remained in the top ten for an additional ten weeks. " IN TIME " also charted at 21 on the National Campus and Community Radio Report and the single "Things That Could "received airplay on commercial and campus radio stations in both Canada and the United States.
