Three years ago, you could ask "Who Is Kalliko?" and people would look at you like "WHO?", but slowly but surely, this 19 year old rapper has surely made a name from himself. He went from passing his songs around his old high school, to getting them in steady rotation on radio stations through the country, even in Germany. From wishing he knew just one celebrity, to knowing plenty on a first name basis. Saying all of this, you would think this kid is from a major known city like, Los Angeles, Atlanta or even D.C. But this kid is from a small countrytown in Virginia called Cumberland. Some recording artists get a taste of fame and forget about their city, but this kid never forgets about his roots. Many people who've met him, called him a different type of rapper, most rappers talk about the same ol' same (money, drugs and how many things they have) but Kalliko is mostly about love, life and talking about how he is. But not only is he different in his rhymes, he can rap over a techno, pop, r&b or just a hip hop feel, he's not ust the "basic" rapper. With 2 independent albums, 3 EP's and many musical influences around him, Kalliko isn't even thinking of stopping anytime soon.

The OK Corral began in the summer of 2007 as high school friends Brett Nickley and Mike Matthews finished their freshman year of college. The pair went to concerts together around the DC area and realized they wanted to give the band thing a legitimate shot before school flew by and the real world swallowed them whole. The OK Corral originated as an acoustic duo, and Brett and Mike spent the summer writing 5 originals, and following a plethora of makeshift and legitimate shows, these 5 original songs later became an EP in January 2008. While the duo was eager to play their music to anyone who was willing to listen, they also desired to form a full band. After getting their EP done, various musicians temporarily got involved; practicing, playing shows, but ultimately, not fitting into the bigger picture the two had envisioned.

The band has gained some national attention as they have been featured as a band of the week in AbsolutePunk.net's self-promotion spotlight drawing comparisons with the likes of Manchester Orchestra, The Format, and Steven Kellogg and the Sixers. The OK Corral is currently looking to bring their music to your ears. With their catchy hooks, mature songwriting, and their outright eagerness to simply have a good time with everyone who is a part of their live music experience, they hope to be playing in a city near you in the near future!
