This exhibition explores the art of the 20th century Chinese artist Zhang Suqi and his contemporaries. Drawn from the works of Zhang Suqi and his personal collection of works given to him by other eminent Chinese artists before he came to the United States in the early 1940s, this exhibition of roughly 30 works is a who's who of Chinese traditional ink painting in Shanghai on the eve of China's communist revolution. Artists include Ren Bonian, Yu Shaosong, Wang Shengyuan, Zhao Shaoang, Xie Zhiliu and Pan Tianshou among others.
