Chinese New Year begins with the new moon on the first day of the new year. It is a time when families and friends come together to celebrate, wish each other happiness, remember ancestors, and make a fresh start. Sometimes called the spring festival, Chinese New Year is often celebrated after the fall harvest and before the spring planting season. This year, the year of the ox, Chinese New Year falls on January 26. Help us celebrate this traditional holiday with a Lion Dance, believed to chase away evil and bring a welath of good fortune for the coming year. Experience this annual tradition on the plaza of Trammell Crow Center. FREE. Call 214-979-6438 for group reservations.
