About Suite Ode to the Sacred Land China
“Odeto the Sacred Land China” is the first production by the prominentChinese musician Wang Yi. The work features some elements of ethnicmusic from China'sDai and Mongolian nationalities. The whole work is composed of fourparts: Dawn of the spring; Forging Ahead; Our Precious Island; TheSoaring of China.

About Sinfonia Suite "Qiao Jia Da Yuan"
Baised on the homonymous Tv series, the symphony suite "Qiao Jia Da Yuan"
iscreated by notable musician Zhao Jiping following the incidental musicin the TV series. Six chapters including Sinfonia, Will, Love, Business Road, Purgatory and Passion are unveiled in the suite and Tan Jing will the lead the vocal which makes the suite more attractive.

"QiaoJia Da Yuan" tells the story of a big business family in Shangxiprovince from the end of Qing Dynasty to 1930s. Qiao Zhiyong aimed tosave Chinaand its people by practicing and expanding his business, while enduringhardships and struggles from wars, business competitors, familyconflicts.

About China National Symphony Orchestra
China's national symphony, the China National Symphony Orchestra, is one of the most outstanding professional symphony orchestras in China. Originally founded as the Central Philharmonic Orchestra of China in1956, the orchestra was restructured and renamed in 1996 to reflect thechanges which had taken place over forty years. Leading the CNSO intothe future are Executive Director Guan Xia, a well-known composer, andResident Conductor Li Xincao.

Throughoutits history, the CNSO has collaborated with many world famous artistsin order to bring excellence to its audiences. CNSO audience have beenthrilled by famous conductors such as Ormandy, Herbert von Karajan,Seiji Ozawa, Charles Dutoit, Kurt Masur, Slatkin, Rozhestvendsky,Schwarz and Maurice. Other well-known guests were composer KrzystofPenderecki, instrumentalists David Oistrakh, Yehudi Menuhin, IsaacStern, Yo-Yo Ma, Mutter, Martha Argerich, Mischa Maisky, Shaham, LangLang, Wang Jian, Li Yundi, Lin Zhaoliang, Li Chuanyun, Giacomini andLindemann. After a performance with the CNSO, conductor Charles Dutoitwas moved to observe, "I was delighted to find a Chinese orchestra withsuch high standards, the CNSO has a great deal of potential. In a fewyears it will certainly develop into a group that will grab theattention of the world."
