Brought to you by The Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens and The Palm Beach Post, the 11th annual Children’s Day, patterned after Japan’s national holiday, Kodomo-no-hi, is a fun-filled day for the entire family.

The event includes hands-on activities such as making a giant carp streamer, gyotaku (fish printing), hina-shikishi (doll collage) and making newspaper kabuto (warriors’ helmets). There will also be an origami airplane challenge, chopstick fun area and a garden treasure hunt.

Japanese Candy making demonstrations will occur throughout the day transforming taffy-like candy into beautiful creations. Children and adults can also enjoy "Climbing Mt. Fuji," a bungee trampoline attraction, hopscotch and a chalk art area. In addition, indoor and outdoor stages will feature Taiko drumming performances and workshops by Fushu Daiko and Matsuriza Jr. as well as koto and dance performances designed to delight all ages.

American and Asian food will be available. Cost: $5; Museum members and children 3 and under FREE.
