Children for Children's Family Fun'raiser November 16, 2008

Want to teach your kids the true spirit of the holiday season? For the third straight year, Children for Children® will be hosting its annual Grow Involved for the Holidays Family Fun’raiser on November 16, 2008 at Blue Smoke & Jazz Standard.

This festive afternoon is a meaningful way for children, families and groups to kick-off the season of giving by participating in a hands-on service fair.

Youth and adult volunteers will assist in serving award-winning barbecue and work with children on hands-on service projects including decorating fleece scarves for the elderly and designing “adopt me” bandanas for the ASPCA. Join Children for Children as we gather volunteers from across New York – from Broadway to Bay Ridge – and bring life to Dr. Martin Luther King’s famous words, “Everybody can be great, because everybody can serve.”
