presented by Kathryn Everest, Social Software Advisor, Jive Software

Social software holds the promise of improving collaboration between people in organizations, which could significantly improve employee retention, engagement, innovation, learning, and productivity.

Designing and implementing these systems, however, can be difficult. People may not work they way they say they do, or may not understand the bigger picture of how a community collaborates, leading to assumptions and requirements that are incorrect.

Using a case study, we will look at how Social Network Analysis aided in a successful implementation of social software, as well as how it influenced the design and deployment.
