The Chieftains have consistently entertained people worldwide for over 40 years, carrying their music and their culture to nearly every corner of the globe. They have influenced a number of today’s greatest musicians while performing everything from traditional Celtic music to country music, folk and rock and roll. Comprised of Kevin Conneff (bodhrán, vocals) Seán Keane (fiddle), Matt Molloy (flute) and Paddy Moloney (uillean pipes), the quartet plays concert halls and fairs, palaces and pubs. “We’re still unique,” says Moloney of the group’s staying power. “A lot of bands have come and gone, but we’re still here.”
