A true jazz drumming legend, Chico Hamilton grew up playing with the likes of Dexter Gordon and Charles Mingus. An essential part of the birth of Cool and West Coast Jazz, he developed what was dubbed "Chamber Jazz," the pairing of jazz and classical instruments. Chico remains one of the most prolific and influential drummers in history.
